as someone who owns a whippet called Daniel I am keeping very queit... :- "
In my defence that is the name he came from the rescue with and as we were only fostering him initially we didnt change it and now it has stuck... we do get some odd looks sometimes though...
Still.. I'm popping to...
These were taken at the Ashton Court Estate in Bristol...
Great whippet walks as there is a big flat field for running and chasing and lots of woods for squirrel hunting (Grace tried to climb a tree there last week...)
Daniel and Grace made some new frineds today... they met Josie, Lola and Monty (Nee Taz) who is looking much better than he did when he was in the sanctuary... A lot of running and squirrel hunting was done by all and I now have 2 very tired whippets...
Monty with Josie & Lola
and again...
here is daniel having fun in the snow earlier this week...
he was not a happy chap and we have to practically carry him down to the garden
We did manage to lure them out briefly though...
We didnt have as much as that in Bristol but a decent amount!
Not sure how you got your whippets to do that - I practically had to carry mine into the garden this morning and they havent spoken to me since - pair of jessies
No - I am not that good (and neither was my camera!) as you may be able to tell from the first pic.. she is a bit miffed that I had gone in and switched on the light (and didnt have any form of treat or toy) so it was a bit of a slow motion with a grunt as she hit the pillow followed by a big...
Helen - Lovely pics he looks soo much better already

Can I just say that everyone at the sanctuary has said what a pleasure it was to deal with you and all the staff are just...

Just saw this after other post!
I had one for just over a year (a 5 year old male) and then got a 1 year old female back in August... He was a little bit wary at first but once she let him think he was still top dog they get on brilliantly.. (to the point where he gets sad if we have to...
Hi and welcome to the forum
Certainly sounds like you are being sensible prior to getting a whippet... we had no experience of the breed prior to taking our first one in but found the reading materials very useful...
