I have heard a few comments lately regarding people attending Championship shows simply to enter stakes classes and 'snubbing' the breed.  How do people feel about this and do they regard it as a 'snub' to the breed? Regards - Kat.

I must admit - that I intend to agree with your comments Dawn, I truly do believe that in a breed numerically large such as ours that there is no reason why the same people should be asked to judge on so frequent a basis. I can not believe however, that this can have a positive reflection on...

Hi Terry, Yes, Mariel was a beautifull bitch in her prime - well balanced and lovely proportions.  Never saw her in the ring when she was younger - which I regret. My Oakbark dog himself stands at 20.5 inches and at times has looked a touch small in the ring! Regards - Kat.

Hi Guys, Have to agree with Dawn here, at the end of the day - dogs in the ring are judged relative to each other and that includes size. Have to disagree with Terry.  I personally think that the Oakbarks are some of the better size dogs in the ring - at this point in time!

We left Border Union also without being asked for passes.  It seems the only way to have a peace of mind is to sit with your dogs on the benches - missing the judging and possibly your class.  Who knows?
