Windsor Ch Dog Show

Dawn, When Richard (Mason) was showing years ago wasnt most of his line tied up with PMH
Richard and Carol fisrst saw Phil at a limited show when he was showing 'Skeggy' and the they thought what a nice dog she was ___ unfortunatley they do not have benching at Limited shows karen.

The first Hillsdown lined dog they had was out of Skeggy's litter sister owned by Vic Ibbotson and bred to a dog owned by Roger Nowill - Dondelayo Lysander. You never saw Roger at benched shows and Vic rarely went anywhere where you couldn't get by bus.

Richard and Carol and Phil and Tina became friends and used to travel to the shows (yes all 4 of them and sometimes 5 dogs) in Richard's mini

At NCWC 25th anniversarry show Phil won BIS & BOS with Hillsdown Repique and Hillsdown Riosin respectively. Richard & Carol won BPIS with Aphrael Alethea - On the way home the car broke down just outside the Ladybower Inn with several hundred pounds worth of trophies in the boot !!! fortunately no-one knew the boot-lid lock didn't work or NCWC wouldn't have the trophies they now have . (w00t)

Sorry Karen that blows your benching theory about Richard :D

L, M, N, O, Good benching area and a prime example of what Im on about.

Mrs Lowe, Mrs Minns, Mrs Oliver. Paulines dog Say no More, by Mrs Minns Nimrodel Wanderer who was bred by Mrs Lowe.

Meakin, Moran-Healy, Oakbark Middlman, Mrs Minns has used Oakbark recently

Newton, Moran-Healy, McMorrow.

Thats an interesting theory, however you can also apply this and find some very Influential Kennels from, B,C,G & K that have played a large part in many pedigrees of whippets Today, this is also within the last 25 years. :D

Jax,  You are quite near to Stock and Robinson as there is not a lot of peoples names starting with U and V.

Just to bring us right up to date, Meads and Noel-Smith.

Are you getting the hang of it now, as I said because we travel to so many shows now it is not so noticable but if you go back through the lines you will see it.

  Dessie, I have masses more stuff to do but to me its just another way that things influence type.

No still dont see it (w00t)

But you really are sad , to be looking at things like that :oops: :huggles:

I picked Rogers and Barbaras dogs because I SAW them in the RING and liked them , not cos they are benched near me ,

I reckon it definitely is an interesting theory though Karen. :)

What you need to remember is, I didnt say everyone and I didnt say definately, I said there is a tendancy.

Jax, I know we see these dogs in the ring and when we have been breeding some time perhaps we know more people, when we start out we see those winning dogs returning to our benching line, we must be influenced by that.

Dawn, Naturally this is going to work for Open and Limit shows too but that would be in a regional way. Most of those K L M N O people come from the Midlands, now that is scary (w00t) If I get married again I will seriously consider someone whoose name begins with one of those letters :thumbsup:

And as for being a saddo, dont you study breeding patterns?

Think, dont just try to quickly rubbish things.

Bertie, B & C, AND G & K, If you are not just shallow and taking the wee wee like those other spammies perhaps you could run through it for us.

I suppose the logical interpretation from an expansion of the hypothesis is that we do not have Northern and Southern types.

Rather we DO have

ABCDE types

FGHIJK types

MNOPQ types

etc..

interesting - Very interesting :D :blink: :D

Karen in reply,

No I wasnt taking the p***,

But putting your theory to the test, over the past twenty five years you can just about go from A onwards example below and i have probably missed a good few names out :b

B= Burton (Dunaruna)

C= Carmicheal (Carmodian)

C= Clark (Shalfleet) Thats a bit of a cheat coz it was Wilton-Clark

G= Gilmour (Dumbriton)

K= Anne Knight (Dondelayo)

M= McKay (Laguna)

M= Moore (Allgarth)

N= Newton (Nevedith)

N=Nicholson (Lowglen) Fred

S=Sheffield (Hillgarth)

I wasnt saying i totally disagree with you but I think it is more out of chance the surname you have, and I think you will find this in most breeds.

Jax, Influential in the breed, Karen discussed the people who have done the winning and the benching (not top breeders) over twenty five years.

Champions/stud book numbers owned & bred home and abroad. :D

I was folllowing the lead from Karen on some of the people in her list.

Do you disagree

Plus i couldnt think of anyother B's of the top of my head.

So there you go I rest my case.

dont know why Burton was the first one that came to mind ;)

Can you think of any A's then ?

A - Aldrich-Blake (Lucinda) - Astrophel

A - Armstrong Danny - Trevelmond

A - Armstrong Billy - Cornstalk

A - Andersen Lady - Tweseldown

god when you start .

How can you forget some of these names.

I did say an example and that I would have missed a load of names

The point is as stated you can find names from all letters that have done a share of winning over the years.

:))
