Trophy for sale on Ebay

From a more personal point of view, in my opinion only,and one that I beleive is not that of the owners of K9, and in no way should be considered their opinion, and the prescence of this on their web site in no way constitues agreement with anything I post, I think that " MintyJack" knows he holds something that clearly should not be in his possesion and instead of doing the decent thing and returning it to it`s rightful owners is being corrupt, deceitful, dishonest, and criminal.

His clear desire to make money out of what ought to be returned to its rightful owner says all you need to know about his character.
 
Thanks to everyone who has taken an interest in this topic. It seems the members and friends of the WCoS are taking more interest than the committee. Can anyone tell me if this trophy is on e-bay this morning I have looked I typed in whippet trophy on the search bar but it does not appear to be there. :rant:
 
Well I haved just looked and it's appears to have been taken off again...!! Can anyone tell me different?! :unsure:
 
I think as a board we have done everything we can, I like many had hoped that this gentalman would of at least offered the item back at the price he paid + a small profit as being a dealer I don't think anyone should be expected to loose money.

But unfortunatly I beleave the price he quoted when Contacted by the WCOS trophy Steward was far to high for them to offord I beleave it was in the region of £450.

I think now we all have to accept that this trophy will be lost from the Whippet World.

Looks like it was withdrawn from sale again at 4.45 this morning.
 
I do see that MintyJack is a 'SquareTrade Seal Member' on eBay. The details about this are HERE and there is a contact email address if anyone thinks a member has violated the standards.
 
I imagine that as a 'SquareTrade Seal Member' he will be obliged to inform the seller that there is a dispute, or at least a question mark, over the legal ownership of the trophy.

The seller ended this listing early because of an error in the listing.

mintyjack......if you are reading this then please do the right thing and hand the trophy back to its rightful owners. this trophy is part of the clubs history and cannot be replaced.
 
When I looked at Ebay, it said the sale had ended and their were no bidders. That was a few minutes ago.

I've just had an email from MintyJack

'the matter is being resolved to the mutual satisfaction of all'

that was the complete email :( . I assume he is talking about the trophy and the matter really is being resolved to the satisfaction of all. Sorry I've no further details but it looks like that's good news.

im sure if the whippet club gets it back they'll let us know. i really hope he sends it back

Hi there guy,

The Whippet have had a committee meeting and one of the items on the agenda was this trophy. The club ha decided that we are not going to be buying back the trophy. I have informed the seller of this an await his reply.

As soon as I know more I will post you here so all our supporters know what is going on.

hopefully he'll just donate the trophy back to you.
 
Well I hope he has it in his heart to understand that the trophy wa donated to our club for a reason many years ago and it would be very noble of him to accept the loss and "donate" it back
 
Emma, were the police contacted ?

I can appreciate the club not wishing/or having the funds to buy this trophy back, surely, they shouldn't have to buy it back.

I still have hope that mintyjack will donate it back to where it belongs.
 
There's another one on there now entitled "Eastern Counties Whippet Club"

Don't think there still about though--------------Are they?
