Smokey In Vets

Thank you all for your thoughts and sympathy. It's a hard road to travel and slightly eased by company.

So sorry about your sad loss Jean

:huggles: :huggles: for you and your family

Phoned vet for update. They were being positive but not really saying anything - she's maybe a bit brighter. Anyway she's staying overnight on the drip. Fingers crossed. Thanks for all your good wishes and thoughts.

High white blood count indicates an infection. I am sure with antibiotics she will soon respond. Keeping my fingers crossed for you. Best wishes

RIP little Smokey dog :(

hope you're feeling ok Jean, but its hard isn't it? I'm past the 'glad we could relieve his suffering and did the best for him' stage and am now at the 'wish I could just spend one more day with him' stage, which I know doesn't make sense because if he was still here he would be very ill and he'd never be the dog who is still in my heart
