Hi there, I'm new on this forum and just got my we Lurcher puppy 10 days ago. His name is Rax and he is 3/4 Whippet 1/4 Bedlington Terrier Brindle and a right cutie pie.
I live on the isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides (NW Scotland)
He is now just over 9 weeks old and i have been crate training him since his arrival. Generally he is very happy to go into his crate when sleepy but after going out for a pee at night he's not to happy to go back in lol. Same if i need to put him in in the daytime if i need to pee etc !!!!
Anyway I hope that i can get some advice on things as they happen from you guys, if you don't mind.
The worst thing we are trying to overcome is the biting, but only expected i guess at this age.
One question i do have is what sort of weight do you all think he should be getting to at different ages. My thinking that he has so much whippet in him is that he will turn out quite small. He was 3.6Kg today (that about right?)
Will post a pic or 2 if i can sus it out. The name btw is a combo of my old dog RUFF and my Fiance's old dog ZAX, REX is too common so we went with RaX.
Regards
Toby
