Hi Beth, I have to agree with Scott you look fantastic in the pic showing,

hope things go well for you in the future and that comments made to you on K9 havn't upset you to much but the people who have made them are realy caring people who wouldn't want to see you ill.

Beth .........I think most of us on k9 would love to look like you :)

Michelle have you been  ... :- " ......ahh poor old Mark, he knows we  him :huggles:

;) all your dogs are stunningly gorgeous. Two questions for you

1.Where did you get all the names for your lush little pups from?

2. How old are you? you never answered. Not that it is important but just curious. :)

Michelle, are you on Blue Nun bottle number 3 ?

Hey Sherry, to answer your questions:

1) This is where I got the names for my babies:

Libby: A name I like - but also the grandmother is called Libby: CH Bohem Critic's Choice

Cindy: My sister helped me name her (Cindy is a name we both just liked)

Paris: Mz Paris Hilton

Crystal: Just a name I like

Flick: A horse I used to admire from the stables I rode at

Ronan: My mum named him

Saxon: Saxon from Australian big brother 2003

And for your second question I am 18 (almost). I know I am very young to be breeding my own dogs.

But I have had so much guidance from Eva Ekstam - she is a really beautiful, lovely person who I love lots and respect. She has co-bred the litter that I have now. Also my mum is a co-breeder.

I started out with training my smooth fox terrier in obedience when I was 9. We entered some competitions and won. That encouraged me to continue. And then I got paid to train and look after Bull mastiffs when I was 11!!

I then wanted anything to do with dogs, so started getting experience in vet clinics, animal rescue shelters etc... I then rescued a whippet that I found in a animal rescue centre I worked at in school holidays. And she lived with me until late last year until she died of cancer :(

I also got a pharaoh hound and started training them in obedience, I managed to get my pharaoh hound into a advanced level of obedience and agility.

Then I decided I wanted a show dog... I used to go watch the local dog show ever since I was young and I saw a whippet there and just totally feel in love with it. Thats when I knew I wanted a whippet... (my mum also grew up with greyhounds).

I got my first whippet for my birthday and started showing him... and ever since then I have been addicted to the breed and all I want to do is learn more about them. And one day I would hope to be a specialist judge and breed really good dogs.

I would never be able to have done what I have without the help of Eva or my mum!

:)

mark is a very handsome young man intouch with his feminine side :- " (so he says)

has mark ever posted a piccie of himself on k9 so all you ladies can see what you're missing out on?

Hi Mark, I meant to ask you,why didn't you keep teaching ?

The book work part is not going well.As soon as I try to read any of it,I fall asleep.I'm blaming the fact I work nights, rather than me being a dumb blonde.... :( .

Working nights is killing me at the moment,I had an interveiw earlier this week at a local business, keeping my fingers crossed that I'll be offered the post.I'm hoping that by working days,I'll get the theory work that I need to do,done.

Who did you train with before you were qualified? How long did it take you to pass and become a qualified A.D.I. ?

Maybe you shouldn't answer the last part, probably depress me too much.

Love to Paula and the dogs

LOL, no he hasn't.When I last saw Mark my camera refused to work.If it'll work next time I see him,I'm gonna take a pic and post it on the K9 board, then every one can either drool or throw up.

Love ya really Mark

Hi Lyd

The P1 is boring I found the only way to get passed that was to keep reading it over & over ended up passing with 88%, most of what you learn on P1 you never teach anybody anyway.

Part 2 easy & part 3 easy they just want to know you have done your homework and you are confident (i'm probably making it sound to easy)

I gave up due to my back, I can't sit down for long periods and all the jerking (emergancy stops ect) weren't helping my back.

I realy enjoyed the job as you meet some realy nice people (and some freaks) but if you take it light harted you will have fun.

the funny thing was I went to the Docs about my back at the start and was told by the Doc "to go and get a job and stop being lazy and he wasn't giving me a sick note" umm his face was a picture when I told him what I did for a living.

Mark you just liked all the short skirts that used to get in :D

WHO WOULDN'T but thats the 1st thing male trainees are told you never even think about it.
Vicky you wouldn't beleave half of the things you see, we always joked when we were training (oh Lyd I trained with The Driving Center Southport) about the Confessions of a driving instructor film but reality is stranger than fiction.

I picked 1 woman up for her test who came out in a very short skirt, fishnet Stocking & thigh high boots as she thought it might swing it with the examiner? I told her to go back in and put somthing sensible on? she then passed with no help from sex apeall (well I don't think so :b

another young girl (just 17) took 6 lessons before she would even touch the steering wheel (she was hard work)

the worst are the young lads who think they know it all cos they have seen their mate do it and the best dare I say it are Women YES WOMEN between say 20/35 as they listen have no pre macho image to keep up and give it 100% (most of them anyway.)

:) Thanks Mark,I imagined part one was the hardest bit.I've always struggled with written exams, even multiple choice.

I will get to grips with it eventually.

Really rude of your Dr to speak to you like that.

John had a similar experience with a Dr. once.

I guess I wont have to worry about females in short skirts,or the men either come to that :D an advantage being older and unfanciable (w00t) .
