Damn I got my hopes up then. :(

Sorry Barbara just want to make sure people are still looking

Thanks Lesley

Well I'm still looking, posted posters in shops, vets, pubs, pet shops, most LA fitness gyms round the country (some of them by email) rang loads of kennels and rescue kennels and been out driving round. Got a poster in my car window.

So if anyone can suggest anything else I can do please tell me.

Anything to get these dogs back where they belong.

Julie

This was the dog Mark picked up from the vets today, she is now back home where she belongs   After being missing for over a year.

Well great news the whippet bitch has been reunited with her owner both owner & whippet are very happy it turned out she was the whippet stolen from Halifax about 15 months ago well done to all involved & a happy ending & marks still sat on the Motorway in traffic

Wow!!! What amazing news. I bet her owner can't believe she's got her back after all this time. It just shows, you should never give up hope :huggles:

Well done Mark (and I hope you get out of the traffic soon!)

Just edited to say I'm thinking of the older bitch who went missing with her :( :(

Yes, having read this, I am thinking about the other bitch too. :(

It is amazing that she's been found after such a long time. Did Julie recognise her from the pictures that Mark posted?

Her owner must be over the moon :D

Mark emailed me some pictures this afternoon, when i first saw them i thought it was Jill, I then printed them off and took them to show the owners who confirmed it was Jill and Mark then took her and delivered her back home.

Jill by the sounds of it was as happy to be back home as the owners were to have her back.

What are the chances of that dog being taken to Marks vets and Mark knowing Evies mum was missing, it's unreal ! But so glad its a happy ending. I will be going to see Jill this week, so will post an update later.

Julie, it is an amazing story, but just goes to prove the power of the internet and a community :huggles: I am so pleased for Jill and her owners, it really does give you goosebumps :D

Also Mark's Vet knew exactly who to call, he must be spending too much time there (w00t)

amazing news :huggles:

so pleased , lets hope the other girl will not be far behind :luck:

The strange thinbg is my vet would normaly send them off to the dog warden or Manchester dogs home? what made him ring me rather than do what he'd normaly do?

Glad she's back home, it was a wonderfull sight she ran straight passed open doors straight into the living room jumped on the couch and curled up? not even a goodbye kiss from her :(

unfortunatly the area she was hit by the car is right next to an estate that holds a lot of ? well people you wouldnt like to meet on a dark night should we say. so the chances of seeing/finding the older dog is probably hopeless.
