Okay, I am going to have to break this into many posts to get all the photos in... Dido's pups (the dual sired litter) will be 7 weeks on Tuesday and Scarlet's pups will be 5 weeks old on Tuesday. All these pics were taken today. We are STILL waiting on DNA to come back on Dido's kids, it takes forever but hopefully soon we will have the first results.
We will start with Dido's pups - I am only going to post 1 side shot plus the front shot of these kids. They are going through a leaning stage where they like to lean into my hand when I stack them which makes their toplines all weird and their front ends up under themselves way to much. But we got lucky and got a few good shots of them all. If you would like to see their other side shots - you can go to the website to see them, they are on there Oh, they have also really shot up on leg this last week, they aren't those tiny little babies we started out with
Also - before we go on, I would just like to comment on what wonderful litters these have been. When I let them out of their ex-pen in the house they run right through the kitchen to the back door and they go up and down the steps all by themselves now. Just waiting on Scarlet's to catch on to that but they are still to young to be climbing up and down the steps so I carry them - but they are starting to walk out of the ex-pen and towards the back door. These are also our first Whippet litters since we moved back in February. Our back steps at the other house made it almost impossible for the puppies to go up and down the steps until they were atleast 8 weeks old and it got really tiring to be carrying a bunch of pups up and down the steps several times a day. The only work that seems to be involved with these guys is changing their pads in the ex-pen once a day and cleaning their litter box once a day which they only use inbetween potty breaks when I can't get them out fast enough (they do ask to go out).
Okay, now for the fun part - the pictures!
"Aaliyah" - she is bunny crazy, she would make an awesome lure courser if that kind of home came along for her, you will see what I mean when I post candid photos in another post.
"Alexa" - we are keeping this girl, mom's pick. We are going to be co-owning her with my sister Kassi and her fiance Martin. We knew Martin was a good apple when Kassi brought him home and the dogs LOVED him. I think they love Martin more than anyone else in the family.
"Aurora" - we have a possible home for her that doesn't live to far away, but we are all waiting to make that commitment until they come and see her in person in November. She is going through a bit of a scrawny stage, hope she covers those ribs in the next week, I hate seeing ribs on babies.
"Cadence" - her legs are stacked to close together in the front shot, but anyways - she is a SPUNKY little girl, loves to play with my necklace and is all about food - GIVE ME FOOD!
Next post coming in a moment....
