unfortunately there doesn't seem to be any news on these missing whippets
sorry of course, but wonder why you didn't try amputation - unless she was quite old or you were fairly certain that it was cancer and likely to have already spread beyond the leg. I saw a message in the forum once about a whippet who had a bad fracture racing. Again, though the leg couldn't be...

he is microchipped , Lulu is a red fawn lurcher , (saluki whippet grey) [photo shows shorthaired fawn

I agree 20 min 2x/day is minimal. I would prefer them to get at least half an hour each walk and to get at least a short gallop most days. For some dogs in some circumstances unfortunately it isn't possible to give them free-running but they are missing a lot if they can't get to run, they enjoy...
forwarding update:
First of all we are overwhelmed by the response to our appeal. What is a mammoth daunting task with the help of so many fabulous people seems to be totally achievable. So many things have happened over the last few days so here us an update. We have already remarkably reached...
I don't know how far afield you want to look
these are the websites of two organisations I know of:
http://www.greyhoundgap.org.uk/index.php
http://www.grwe.com/
Kyle, Shady, Topper, Cleo, Mitch, & Niamh at Greyhound Rescue West of England are all reported to be cat trainable and it is...
got another email from Greyhound Gap
they plan to buy a place, possibly a former greyhound training kennel
there is no particular site settled on yet as far as I know, but Gap needs to raise at least £100,000 before it can go ahead with purchase. Mony a mickle maks a muckle (ie if enough...
nice dogs but your signature picture is awfully big, can't you make the tatoo lady smaller? (this goes to several k9ers who always sign off with a huge picture)
I put the full message up in the greyhound section. Greyhound Gap does rehome lurchers and the occasional whippet as well, and I have a couple of times seen them rescue non-sighthounds because they were found with or lived with sighthounds. see the full message...
forwarding this message:
Over the last 6 years, Greyhound Gap has evolved beyond expectations into something that we are extremely proud of. Thanks to a wonderful network of volunteers Gap has grown from a small co-ordination rescue point to a small rescue in its own right, and now into a...
not much sympathy for you
frogs suffering from loss of habitat, from pesticides and I think(?) there is only one species in UK
if you are using any repellent do a lot of checking about its safety to frogs and other creatures!
maybe some type of sonic repellent would work?
