The rough-haired lurcher does look better with his coat on, but having a hairy four month old lurcher pup, I can understand the owner's reason for wanting it clipped!

Jackie Drakeford's book "The House Lurcher" shows a pic of a Airedale lurcher. She describes the cross as producing a "useful lurcher."

What a lovely selection of dogs - looked like they had great fun. Just to make those of you who didn't get much snow jealous - the snow here was very Narnia like - here is Gercha going for one of her very first walks in the woods - looks like Mr Tumnus might pop out of the trees any minute:

Funny you should say that, almost identical to how I describe her: looks like a collie, runs like a lurcher! It's the way those hindfeet come right through to the front.

Any idea how our pup will turn out - head photo taken at 10 weeks, snow photo at 11 weeks. Breeding is a mixture of saluki, collie, bedlington and greyhound. Anyone got photos of lurchers of similar breeding? At the moment she looks more like a collie than anything!
