Info On Showing A Rescue Greyhound

Hello Greyhounds in need have a few shows in the summer, but I warn you the competition is tough as I take my Marlene!!!!! see picture below. If you keep an eye on this link, they add the shows on as and when arranged, could be a good chance to see if your girl likes showing...

How Long Can A Greyhound Hold Its Bladder During The Day?

Firstly congratulations on thinking about adopting a greyhound. They are the best pets you can have, not that I am biased. Why not have a chat with your local rescue and explain your situation and see what they can come up with. For all you know someone near you may have a greyhound that...

    Growling!

When greys are at the track, their tattoos are checked inside their ears before they race - sometimes this is not done as gently as we would touch our pets so some dogs are a bit sensitive round the ears. Just give him a bit of time, once they realise you will be gentle they love an ear rub...

    Do Your Bitches Do This?

My greyhound Marlene does it, but she is dominance obsessed, with other dogs not people. If not watched at dog shows she will pee on other dogs beds. (worse than a boy!) We call it precision pee-ing. On a walk she goes about 20-30 times, she is so bossy she has to wee everywhere.

    Lazy Dogs?

I walked my 3 up Snowdown 11 miles in total and what did we see at the summit, yes a greyhound!! If you walk them regularly they will go for miles providing it is not raining, but they do need their rest, I don't think they could manage it every day, but then neither could I.

    Lily's Blog

My lot were so excited when they heard you were getting another greyhound, they has their bags packed and were asking for the car keys. I had to explain very gently that you were getting an Italian greyhound not a full sized greyhound. They are all now sulking and muttering darkly about moving...

    Adopting A Dog From Abroad

I foster for greyhounds in need, and last year I had a Galgo for 4 months while he was waiting for his forever home he was a lovely dog and heart breakingly handsome. So easy baring in mind the lack of care they receive in Spain, my greyhounds adored him. How Greyhounds in need work is the...
