Is there anyone who may be able to help with a 12 year old male whippet? His owner has sadly died and her carer, who is looking after him at the moment, has to leave the house by 16th August.
We haven't seen him, but he's said to be in good health and still has a spring in his step. He is neutered and vaccinated.
He's lived a sheltered life as an only dog with an elderly person, and is good natured and loving but very nervous. He's had some contact with visiting children and was fine with them, but would probably prefer a quiet adult-only home. He enjoys walks but is very scared of other dogs. He's had no contact with cats.
I may have something sorted for him and should find out today, but in view of the urgency a back-up plan would be welcome as we have very few options without other pets and/or children.
