This is grim. I've got two pet ferrets and they are the most gorgeous lovely little creatures with lots of personality. Hate to think of them being farmed and turned into these hideous rugs.
He is very tiny, only 19'' at the shoulder! But this isn't a problem if its only rabbits you're after. So far he has been an absolute dream to train. He is our first lurcher so didn't really know how to train him to course etc, but he's done it all naturally. He also retreives game to hand, he's...
Took my 10 month old bedlington x whippet pup Finn out for his first time ferreting yesterday. He's already shown lots of interest in rabbits before and had caught a few, but this was his first time working with ferrets and nets. We used our two young ferrets (also their first time out) who he...
Thanks for that, much appreciated.
I'm sorted, hopefully, with a litter due in Jan, from Devon.
Just a waiting game now. I feel like an expectant father, and I've had nout to do with it!

Ooh how exciting!!! Good luck with it all. Who in Devon is it that you are getting the...
So far all the bedlington x whippets that i have met have been from a bedlington sire and whippet dam- don't know whether there is a particular reason for this or not!
So far we haven't trimmed at all, although may trim round his eyes if it gets much longer- he seems to pick up all sorts of twigs etc in his coat and gets knotted quite easily though. We went for the cross as we wanted the laid back lurcher attitude- apparently there can be some aggression in...
Agree with Jo about lack of downsides (may i add that Willow was looking gorgeous in the last pic)! I have an 8 month old beddie whippet male, and like you was looking for ages before we found him. Lots about but mainly up North. It is worth the wait though. Like Jo said they don't moult...
Thank you to Dorris and Stevedeb for being supportive about this rather than just telling me i am in the wrong to leave my dog for 3 hrs a day, some of us do need to go out to work! We have been working on his seperation anxiety following advice from an animal behaviourist, working up to being...
My 6 month old bedlington/whippet lives in the house and is a real couch potato. He currently gets shut in a puppy crate when we are out of the house as he gets very anxious when left alone and would be destructive. He is getting too big for his crate and so we have build him an outside kennel...
Dan did really well with Cayden (is that how you spell it???) he looked soo chuffed to have won. She is a gorgeous dog. Was a really enjoyable show, was the first show my beddie/whippet pup had been to and he behaved himself so well, i was very proud of him! :)

Cheers for reminding me about Buckfastleigh, not sure will be able to make it though. Am def going to tiverton show so hope to see you there, will be good to see a slightly older beddie whippet to have a guess at what my boy is going to look like. Will be our first time in the show ring at...
Hi, does anyone know any details about the Tiverton Foxhounds show on the 31st August? Does anyone know the minimum age for puppies to be entered?
Cheers
