We have broken Penny whippet again
Apart from the wind it was a lovely spring like day so Allan and I set off this afternoon with the four dogs for a ramble in the woods. All was going fine till on a narrow path Penny decided to get in front of Storm. This was the first time she had been off lead since her disappearing act a couple of weeks ago. We knew this was a pretty safe area re no bunnies to chase etc so she was let off lead. As she went to pass Storm she hit a fallen tree limb and stopped dead holding her front leg up. The skin was broken and the leg bleeding and she would not put the leg down. Allan carried her back to the house while I took the other three. As soon as we were home we phoned the vet and he said to take her straight there. She was sedated and the wound stitched back together. It took the vet an hour to do this. She is now back home and sleeping in her crate beside the fire.
Does anyone know where you can get a set of armour for a whippet?
