So sorry to hear poor Woody lost his fight for life. He has crossed the rainbow bridge a happy little dog, knowing the love and kindness shown to him by a good owner right to the very end. Run free now Woody
All of us thought Woody aka The General was a fantastic dog at Wessy. Whilst not a born and bred racing dog he certainly gave his all on the track and was a pleasure to watch. I'm sure those at wessy will feel sad for your loss and will remember him well.
Please don't wonder if he had a happy life because there should be no doubt that he did. Like your other dogs you've always got them involved in activities where they've enjoyed themselves and held a strong bond with you throughout. To me the reason Woody was so good at racing and agility was because of the love and devotion you gave him and I truly believe he was a very happy dog and lived life well.
I know I am new to this site but I am really sorry for your loss, what a cheeky face, I bet he made you laugh with his expressions. He will be looking after you from above now.
Its terrible to lose a much loved dog whatever the circumstances but lymphoma seems so common and I wonder why. I can fully sympathise with you as lost my lovely rescued lurcher of 6 years old to lymphoma last year and have never really come to terms with it as she was so young and vibrant. I guess in time they will find hopefully a cure. I only had her from 2003 and it just seemed such a short life. YOur Boy had a lovely life with you by what you say but it doesnt make up for the loss right now. I am truly sorry.
I'V battled through the tears to read about your beautiful boy... you did right by him - I had to make the same decision for my liitle boy he was not even 2 years old.... five years ago - seems like yesterday - you gave him a wonderful life - bless you x
