Wish I could read Chinese !

I've made some changes this AM, hopefully this does the trick.

Sorry for any inconvenience.

Thanks.

Well that worked well.......!! Should be a special circle of hell for these people!

They just won’t stop!!! :mad::mad::mad:

Have you considered blocking IP addresses for a whole country (I'm guessing China)? It does have to be weighed against the chances of a genuine user posting from China though, and I believe the spammers could get round it if they really tried.

It’s a tricky one as I don’t want to penilize a country. It’s probably not even coming from China! :emoji_face_palm: We will get them eventually! Oliver away until Wednesday so won’t be able to try anything again till then.

It's very easy to get round an IP blocker - I access the web via an anonymised VPN so I appear to be posting from the USA.

So it's YOU posting all this spam then!:D

Thinking about it, on my forum I activate new registrations individually (because we don't get a lot) and I do tend to delete ones from China, the Philippines and so on because experience tells me they're spammers. But we do have a notice on registration that if you're not activated in a couple of days you can email admin, so if someone was genuine they could do that. I think if you let the software block IP addresses, people from those locations can't even see the board so that wouldn't be an option. It would depend on the software though, I guess.
