I seen an article in the paper about this topic and found it interesting that some people actually hate the thought of a dog on their bed ( think it but dont say it), there were loads of reasons why not to do it, health issues etc.

The reason why i cant do it is because Colt lies like a set of giants deflated bag-pipes and China lies perpindicular to me..over my head !

Though i must admit after a night out ive been known to bring them upstairs. last month for example i woke up in the half-dark and thought.." ah yes..! pulled a black one..cool ! " ...then when i went in for the snog i realised her face was kinda long  so then i tried to think.. "right johnny shes from a weird tribe...yup the muzzle tribe ..thats it go for it..!" then when i felt the wet nose i was gutted :(

so who has their muts upstairs at nights..??

Not me!!Pete sheds as much hair as the Lurcher!!!!I would hate a dog on my bed,but i do think each to their own.If you like your dog on your bed, then thats fine.Enough people let cats on their beds.As for poor China, bet she panicked when our flavoured condoms appeared!!! :clown:

yep mine come to bed , they either sleep with me or the kids depending on what mood they are in

My 2 sleep in James bed we bought him a king size bed so he still had enough room!!!!! (w00t)

We have a super king and they still dont have enough room to stretch. -_-

They are like starfish at night

ours used to come to bed with us till one night i turned over to find a dog poo on my pillow about 1" from my nose :x

:- " nope not mine ,mine sleep in shed out the back :- " (w00t)

mine sleep upsatairs but on the landing, there beds are all put out for them every night :D

wouldnt have them in bed only because theres 7 of them  :p

plans are in place to get rid of the oh so that ruby has a place on my bed :- " :- "

not sure if its the same for dogs but my friends daughter had a bedwetting problem (9years old) and the doctor said the cats sleeping on the bed with her was partly to cause, some hormone or something they give of, so the cat was banished down stairs, not sure how much difference it made though

Mine wouldnt want to, they love their own beds -_- :huggles:

They do sleep on our bed in the caravan though

Mine sleep upstairs. They have their own beds but do sleep on mine if they wish too.

I saw the article Stormy that you were referring to and personally thought it was the biggest load of ****** I've every had the misfortune of reading. I do understand it is not for everyone, each to their own.

hi john ...i must admit that i dont mind our dogs sleeping on the bed as long as they get in the middle of my hubby and me !! :b but as we now have six lurchers its alittle bit hard as we havent got six beds. sally dog always sleeps with my son ryan as he cant sleep without her.. tilly gets on the landing.. toby prefers to sleep on the sofa.. whip just runs around all night from one place to another.. kes always sleeps with my husband on the bed (his favourite although he wont admit it) and at the moment we got pippa on the bed cos she been unwell.. :( and i have to add that we got two great big heated runs outside full to the top with clean paper bedding and wired up like fort knox.. and my hubby must be like you when he been out for a few cos he gets them all on the bed and i have to sleep on sofa!!! i think what ever makes you happy go for it cos life to short

my two have their own bedroom :b although spirit sleeps in his crate in there tia sleeps on the bed both come in our bed in the morning even though its a super king size bed still not enough room as they stretch out , im the one who usually gets kicked out (w00t) :huggles:

Sometimes, but Amber looses too much hair, so i wake up sneezing and coughing from the amount of hair swallowed :(

but same here .... if a few drinks have been consumed  i let them upstairs (under the covers)

when i was little mum caught me dragging my pony into my bedroom (bungalow  )... but he didnt want to sleep on my bed :( :(

No closed doors here, so therefore sometimes Jill will sneek upstairs and jump on my bed, i dunna mind until she sneaks under the duvet and starts twitching and thrutching, ive been punced in the b***s many a time, but what i dunna like is when she starts to flatulate  ive got Ruth one one side of me doin it, n jill on tuther, so i end up sleeping on the damn settee
