Whippet Stolen From Kent

has this been crossposted as much as possible?

This is terrible, you must be worried sick I really hope you find her, best of luck :luck:

I'm sure you would have notified your local dog warden to look out for her, but it might be worth asking the dog wardens in surrounding areas too. Mine (in Ashford) is so good at looking for lost dogs. Sometimes when we are out walking ours, he comes over and asks us to keep an eye open for any missing dogs (and gives descriptions).

So sorry for you - don't know what I'd do if mone went missing! Am going to get tags saying they are neutered and microchipped, as I've seen on other K9 dogs.

Hi i've just read your very sad post you must be frantic please god she will turn up our thoughts are with you :luck:

Still no news on Amy. We've followed up various leads on whippets being found in various kennels but it's never been Amy. It was her first birthday on Sunday. Please look out for her on your travels. As we are pretty sure she was taken by travellers she could be anywhere by now.

Happy birthday Amy. Hope you are safe and well somewhere.

Nina

 Got my fingers crossed for you. Hope you get her back soon. Diane

So sorry to hear this. It would be a good idea to poster Swanley area too, my lurcher was stolen recently and ended up in Swanley. Keep in touch with Doglost too they are really helpful and supportive.

Looks like Amy as far as I can tell - picture shading can be deceptive but the other markings seem alike. How would they have her KC reg though? Or even know if she was chipped or not? Plus Amy is now 1 year old whereas the advert says 5 months ....... although it certainly looks well developed for 5 months

I thought she looked older than five months too
Hi All,

Thanks so much for keeping your eyes peeled. I've had a look at the pic and it's not Amy. She is a v pale fawn and doesn't have white socks.

We found out yesterday that a pale whippet had been spotted running loose near the travellers site in Polhill. I'm not accusing them since i have no evidence, but we suspect that they stole Amy in the first place.

When we went to visit their site (several times) they wouldn't let us in simply saying they hadn't seen her and 'sympathetically' said that they had had dogs stolen in the past.

Posters we put up around there have been pulled down repeatedly.

The sighting was three weeks ago apparently (only found out yesterday though!) around the time that the travellers had been moved on.

I'm so furious with the thought that she was there the whole time and that they discarded her when they decided they didn't want her.

If anyone is around that area please can you keep your eyes peeled when you're walking your dogs.

We've been round calling her but haven't had any sightings yet.

In happier news I adopted a fawn whippet that was found abandoned and starving in Herts. She looks v similar to Amy which is why we went to check whether it was her. It wasn't but we fell in love with her anyway.

She now lives with me (not with my mum incase she gets stolen from there!) and is settling in v well. I'm praying amy will be found and come back to live with me and with little Peggy.

I've been trying to post pictures but can't work out how to do it and make them smaller! Grrrr.

Thanks again to everyone for thinking of Amy and keeping an eye out.

:( Just seen this thread  Has Amy been found safe and well? :luck:
Unfortunately it turns out (having spoken to the person who saw the dog she thought was Amy) that the dog she saw was actually a lurcher cross. So sadly still no Amy.

We'll keep looking and hoping until she comes home.

so sorry to hear this :( keeping everything crossed for you and my eyes peeled :luck:

ps. well done you for adopting the other girlie :huggles:
