Whippet missing after car accident on M42

:luck: :luck: Fingers and paws crossed very tightly :luck: :luck:

This is just so sad, have everything crossed that it is Mazey and she is back by a nice warm fire with her owner soon. :huggles:

Please,please keep us updated. :luck:

Cant beleive that Mazey is still missing, i am so hoping for her safe return.

I read a beautiful true story about a lost whippet, you really must read it and even though there is a happy ending i bet there wont be a dry eye in the house

if you go to www.northwindcatalog.com then click on "finding poetry" its truly uplifting

Any updated news on Mazey? Did the trap work?

3 sightings yesterday in Dog kennel Lane Nr Cheswick Green. People who sighted her are 99.9% certain its Mazey. Owners searched the area yesterday but no luck.

There has been another sighting at 9.30am this morning, owners got there at 10am ....how frustrating!

Apparently the dog is limping badly and very skinny. But still managed to evade capture when the local pub owner tried to grab her. (She was within arms distance)

Any ideas Whippet keepers.?????

My god i can't believe she's still roaming loose & it's so frustrating when people have been so near, i do hope they manage to catch her after all their efforts.

Are the rspc putting traps out etc?

Could the owners not set up camp where she's being spotted?

Do they have other dogs they could take with them?

I suspect that she's feral. Dogs running like this go feral within days.

It might be that she'll only be caught in a trap. Have they got one set up?

One of my lurchers mother was only caught by using a dog trap. She'd been running on the Marlborough Downs for weeks before they caught her. Then once they'd caught her she went straight into a foster home where her fosterer took her for a walk with her other dogs to help settle him in. And her entire male 3/4 deerhound said thank you very much I rather fancy this beautiful 28" blonde girly. And so then they all had to stand around in a playing field with the snow coming down for some time. :b

WHAT MUST THE OWNERS AND THE POOR DOG BE GOING THROUGH !! :(

FINGERS AND TOES CROSSED SHE`S SOON BACK HOME :D

This is so frustrating even just reading about it, yet alone for the poor owners. The 5 recent sightings sounds quite hopeful though. At least she has made it through the worst of the winter.

Is she being sighted in the same place?

Think i've already said this but are there traps set up? I think they are the best bet now with her being so timid!

No traps set in that particular area. Havent spoken to owners today yet. Will know more later on. She has been sighted over the passed 3 days in the same place.

Fingers crossed

Sharon (mazeys mum) postered the area yesterday, she went upto a lady dog walker to hand her a poster. This woman got rather angry and shouted at Sharon - "YOU, WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO BELIEVE THAT YOUR DOG IS DEAD".

She went onto shouting that a brown animal was killed on the same stretch of motorway a few hours after the accident. And that she and others from her animal sanctuary were informed. Sharon walked away to her van and ended up in tears.

That lady (bloody idiot) need's a slap on the face. Hope they find Masie soon.

You can do without heartless people like that - god i would have been close to lamping her one!

If mayzee was killed after the accident the owners could get on with grieving whats worst is when you know she's out there roaming on her own.

Fingers Crossed the search ends soon :luck:

What a B      D of a woman I hope her dog bites her hard !!!!!!!

People like that don't deserve to keep animals

Very restrained vicky. Iv never hit anyone in my life but I think i can honestly say I would've puched her on gut reaction. Cruel and nasty woman!!!!!!

So hope Mazie is found and soon.

Exactly.

It must be awful knowing she hasn't got anywhere to sleep, not knowing if she has eaten, and that she is scared and alone.

Fingers crossed poor Mazey is back in the arms of her loving family soon.
