Hello all, I'm new to this but hoping someone can help. I'm keen to rehome a Whippet as a pet and was wondering if anyone knows of a good place to get one. I've tried the main rehoming places around Edinburgh and Fife but Whippets seem hard to come by! Look forward to hearing from anyone! Thanks

Hi and welcome to K9.

Do you want a rescue or puppy

Whippets are hard to find in Scotland,,there are not many who end up in rescue centres :thumbsup: ,,a good thing for our breed.

I dont know of any in rescue's up here but try Dumfriesshire Grehound Rescue, but it mean waiting for a wee while. Try posting under Gen Diss Whippets also.

Where about in Scotland do you live,,Im being nosey :p :- " :- "

Try phoning Mrs Skelley on 01505 842123, she does whippet rescue, and there were two adults looking for homes last week, I do not know if they are still available.

Also Mrs Valentine on Heather Valentine

E-mail Address(es):

Valentine166@btinternet.com as she has a 4 month old puppy looking for a home., not exactly a rescue but returned from an unsuitable home.

Hi there, I'm in Dunfermline. Probably looking for a rescue. Thanks for the reply! :)
