What is your dog's worst habit?

Ah just remembered the one that really gets to me - Harri will wait til we are a couple of hundred yards past the last poo bin before going. I then have the choice of dragging him back to the bin or carrying the bag for the next 5 miles...

That is so annoying when they do that!

Eating out: any found bits of dead creature, rabbit ears, bird remains, a piece of squirrel that returned an hour later onto the rug...they can upset him tummy, cause a miasma in the kitchen that you'd swear came off a swamp. Oh I could go on and on...

That's just reminded me of another one - when I get to the poo bin at the end of the walk, refusing to go closer than exactly my arm span when both are fully extended plus the length of the lead, plus an additional 3"... I've seen a cartoon illustrating this with a greyhound, so maybe it's a sighthound thing? I know the bins are stinky but dogs will happily ram their noses up another dog's bum so surely it can't be that bad?

Barking at things - mostly cats, birds, and things he doesn't like or are near his home (mother-in-law visiting can set him off if she comes in the back garden :D).

Waking up. Actually, refusing to wake up. Yeah, I need to go to work, and we need to get in at least a 40 min walk before I go, this translates into 6 AM wake up... But when it takes additional 20 min to wake him up and lure him to the garage, Good Lord - this can be frustrating! Cold chicken doesn't work anymore, and I can't be cooking rib eye stakes for him at 6 AM... This is when I think that having a small carry-on dog is not such a bad idea after all :)

To make it even more strange and frustrating, this seems to be an only Monday-Friday thing.

Dennis is an absolute terror for kicking his back legs after he's had a poo. He goes into some kind of trance I'm sure of it and can be doing it for ages :emoji_face_palm:
Licking my face as I’m doing my laces up and licking peoples faces in general  by leaping and doing a fly-by lick. We’ve tried everything to stop her. Any ideas anyone?

My little Lottie is a pick pocket!! Well, she used to do it all the time, her preferred snatch was hankies or tissues lol.

Folly's only bad habit I can think of is when a female visits and puts her bag on the floor, without either of us seeing her till to late Folly opens the bag and checks to see if theirs anything eatable. She also sticks her long snout into pockets, again to check for treats. And in both she is very quiet so is not noticed at first.

Watching TV. We can’t watch any Vet programs nor wildlife programs!! Herbivores and sea life are fine however any predator programs are a no no. Rex even has his hit list of adverts that he despises. Whatever annoys him on TV gets the full 3kg ‘I’m going to kill you if you come out that TV’ mode. He even takes a biscuit over, drops it in front of the TV and sits back to see if the predator is brave enough to steal his biscuit!! If we want to watch anything remotely Animal we have to stick him beside us and stroke him!!
Belle’s is the song and dance when it’s walk times. We used to just give her a tennis ball and that quietened her down but due to her health issues I’m having to just scoop her up and run to the car. Don’t get me wrong I’m loving that she is bouncing and singing for her walks as for a few weeks we just had silence but now she is getting better she is all singing and dancing again. It’s music to my ears....lol....

Eating hats and gloves! He has moved on from shoes and loves a good hat or a pair of gloves. Just before Christmas we had a fancy dress 1920's party...I put my outfit on my bed to get ready, turned my back and one glove was gone and couldn't be salvaged. Today my favourite hat got it. He has been told off lots of times already as I could see him giving my nice wooly white hat the eye. I go for a pee before we go out and bam...munch! I can see myself with my sewing kit tomorrow to see if it can be salvaged. That said, he is a great help when getting online box packages delivered. He is brilliant at helping me open boxes and getting all that packing tape off. So exciting to see what has been delivered - it could just be something dull like some DIY materials...or it could be food! Food! OMG there is food in this box!
