ok i know u r allowed 4 oz over the said weight wot i want to know is do u have to take this allowance? for instance if i have a dog that weighs 30.2 can i techinically race that dog @ 31lb? as the 4oz is an allowance? i did mention this today and some were under the assumtion that yes i have to take the allowance but do i? interesting question dont u think?

no carole the 4 0z is an allowance your 301b 2 or 301b 4 runs at 301b if its 301b 5 oz it goes in at 31 also if the class is not run as weighed you can go up a class

thats my point its an ALLOWANCE which technically u shudnt have to take, if u dont want to of course.

that depends on what dog ur trying to avoid
i wudnt avoid any dog as i think theres a good dog in every class. the question im asking is if its an allowance then do i have to take it?

I can understand where you are coming from Carole, the word ALLOWANCE could be interpreted as being up to the owner as to whether they want to accept the allowance or not. I think perhaps the question could be raised at the BWRA AGM so that the committee and the members present could debate the question, but as it stands I think all owners accept the ruling. You could also address the same question to the NNWRF committee as the same ruling applies in their racing rules. It would be good to get some clear clarification

from both racing bodies. With the BWRA you could also put in a proposal to have the ruling changed when it is proposal year
