Now that we've got JR and Genie sorted out and you have your excitement in hand, so to speak, where is this long haired whippet of yours Mr Cartman (w00t) I really would love to know more about him/her. Sounds very interesting when so much of our dog world can get so predictable.

Speaking of predictable- I'm off to Toowoomba Royal today for thw whippet judging- taking Gabby, our peperone girl, Lily the girl we bred from Aunty Pat's lines, and Whipowill's Trader who is a combination of both lines. I'm predicting that we wont win. But we'll eat plenty of that good show tucker and have a fun day anyway.

The judge for our day was Mr L Morison of South Africa. He chose the following...

Dog CC/BOB CH Devine Thats My Opinion (imp NZ) Bloody Kiwis- owned by V Shaw

Res CC RUBOB CH Sheberghan Silk Road- B Lyck

Bitch CC Gr Ch Shalique Silver Whisper- Cooney

Res CC Ch Peperone Highland Queen- Gajo and Angus and their(much) better halves

Little Trader did well for whipowill getting a great look for res cc from puppy class getting an extra run around the ring with the open dog.

Highlight of the day was nearly stepping on a snake during one of our wee little walks.

I knew a fellow that was bitten on the uno what while having a "wee " walk. He fell straight to the ground. I used my mobile phone to find out what to do. The snake bite centre told me that unless I suck out the poison he will be dead in 30 mins.

The fellow asked what was to happen. I just told him he will be dead in less than half an hour. :- "
