Warning to all and a lesson learnt.

That’s good news. Just need to maintain that vigilance to ensure that she’s not about to hoover (“other vacuum devices are available”) rubbish. Enjoy her recovery.
 
When out walking, I am spreading the word to other dog walkers and asking them to warn their fellow dog owners. I would not want anybody else to experience what we went through. Fortunately for Brooke and ourselves, she seems not to have been affected by it. Someone else might have a different outcome.
 
It would be worth notifying your local paper too, if you have one. They are always keen for news.
