I was worried about this last autumn.
With Josie the colour she is I have a hard time seeing her on overcast days because she's like a shadow, let alone on dark nights :lol:   Then my local Pound Shop obliged with a stock of reflective mini coats. Perfect!

However, there is a  hilarious side-effect, and that is that people look at you all sympathetically because they think you're blind

if anyone's interested, I've just managed to get a fluro jacket for Lola on ebay which is almost identical to the one Josie is wearing on this thread. 99p!! Bargain. The seller has a few more, and one is on at the moment - ending in 30 mins so hurry!!!!!

Very tempted - the new puppy (if and when) will probably be black thus completely invisible at night! Would it be tempting Providence to get puppy stuff in advance though ? :unsure: :sweating:

I have bought reflective harness for my two on ebay. Not a bad price either.

We ended up getting those arm bands the cyclists wear from Halfords with velcro. We just put it round there necks like a collar. They make such a difference especially on the black dogs.

I use the flashing Mikki collars (medium size cos then they got right round the neck) because out in the fields you cannot see the dayglo coats and they don't always need coats on. I did have the flashing 'Blinkers' as well but you cannot see them when the dogs are going away from you, whereas the collars you can. Also the 'Blinkers' come unscrewed and you lose the batteries.

And I am talking pitch black walks in the fields/disused railway amongst trees with Whippets way ahead hunting here!!
