Vizela lifting back legs

I've noticed with all of the different Vizela's I've walked that they have a tendency to lift one of their back legs up whilst they walk. They do a kind of hippidy hop (does that make sense!?)

Is this a known thing with Vizela's? Has anyone else with a Vizela experienced this?

p.s it's not from stepping on something that's painful!

No it’s not common in the vizsla , they should be sound on all 4 legs, usually that bunny hop you see is down to a condition called luxating patella , but you usually see it in small / toy breeds. I would guess if you are seeing that unnatural action in the dogs you see they have some form of hip / knee/ joint issues

Since they are all presumably local to you, could it be possible a vizsla breeder in the area has bred from a parent with a condition?

I was just going to say I know a few and none of them have a hippidy hop gait they are all solid but fluid dogs when they move

I have a few friend who own and breed them , one had 6 and I watch them at shows a lot, never seen this as a problem. It could be down to bad breeding or injury in those you see
