I had a Dyson, would NEVER have another. I did loads of research on vacuums and ended up with a Miele. After a few years, it developed a fault. Miele arranged to have it back, and for a flat fee of £99, they replaced the faulty part, serviced and posted it back. This service is available for models up to 10 years old (mine is about 6/7 years old and is now as good as new. I would personally recommend the more expensive Revolution model, it is a good investment. Here is another link for you grom the GHI.
At the risk of lowering the tone I know someone with a yellow labrador sometimes called Dyson, he picks everything up off the floor in the lounge and then spews it up all over the hall, stairs and landing. (He's really called Henry, but John his owner says they have named him after the wrong cleaner).
