the hand that rocks the DOG BED

hello , not to sure if this is in the right forum but i cant find any thing remotely similar to my problem ,

so my landlord had decided to sell my home after 15 years, i have had to temporary re home my dog while i am in temporary accommodation ,
i have had my dog rufus for over 3 years now , and have found somebody a family of 3 next to my friends house who have agreed to look after him ,
if i supply the food and visit as much as i can ,

I dropped him of on the Thursday, got enough food for the month to them on Friday , and came back today ( Sunday)
i have just found out today that the man has been letting my dog in the bath with him , now is it just me or is that just weird ? my dog has never tried jumping in the bath with me, he sleeps next to it while im in it , this guy has carried him in to it i reckon !

I am lost for words 4 days in , i feel like they have jumped to conclusions that ill never be able to get him back so have accepted him as there own dog already ,

any thoughts ?

I wouldn't read anything into it - presumably your dog was happy to be in the bath, and you do know he's getting the attention he needs. Good luck in finding dog-friendly permanent accommodation very soon.

just found out his cut my cockerpoos hair of his tail now , last straw , ill be re homing my rufus now :(

Sorry to hear about your problem this man definitely sound like he is an idiot or thinks the dog is his ☹️ Try and move him quickly before he dose anything else. Can’t stand people that over step the mark and take liberty’s with other peoples dogs. Hope things sort out

Hope everything turns out well and that you can get your dog out of there asap!

I have no choice but to wait till Saturday now for rehoming, sadly ill never see him again as he will be moving to hull :( I walked my dog today and noticed his poo looking like a chicken korma, I wouldn't trust these people with a goldfish let alone my dog any longer, sadly i can't move him till Saturday as I have no other choice, :(

Are there no other options, can nobody else foster him until you find dog-friendly accommodation?
