Sweeney Todd

:D I saw it last night and it's brilliant. Johnny Depp is amazing as ever and Helena Bonham Carter is  absolutely brilliant too. I was lucky enough to see Sweeny Todd on stage years ago so I knew what I was getting in for in terms of the story and music, but I think lots of the people in our packed theatre didn't know it would be so bloody and a musical but the buzz was good so I think they enjoyed it.
It is very, very gory and I had to keep my eyes closed for the throat slitting bits (there are lots  :x ) but on the whole it's a fantastic experience so go and see it.

Is there enough warning before the throat slitting bits so I could close my eyes in time???? :b

Oh, you've gotta get hold of Benny and Joon - it is great - Depp's character is very reminiscent of Buster Keaton or Charlie Chaplin. I wasn't blown away by Cry Baby but it's a bit of light hearted fun. :D
