Our poor little chap has been a bit poorly last week or so.

After running around like a loon in the woods he had cuts in between his toes on two feet. Which are really annoying him. Seems also to be having an allergic reaction to something as his ears are red raw and the feet which don’t have cuts he’s chewing at until they bleed!!!

We’ve also been monitoring two cysts on his head which were tested a few months ago and found to be benign but have since doubled in size!

So after talking with vet today we’ve decided to have his lumps removed. While he’s under anaesthetic will also take the chance to properly clean his feet and ears and take bloods to test for allergies.

Poor fella is really down in the dumps. Anyone who’s owned a boxer knows that this is not a good thing!

Any similar experiences would be great to hear.

No experience but wishing him well.

Oh the poor lad. I hope it all goes well on Monday and you can get to the bottom of his itchy bits.

Some dogs that are mostly white seem to suffer more with allergies...good luck monday xx

Good luck for Monday!!! Roxy had benign lumps which had grown rapidly removed from the back of her neck, she was absolutely fine afterwards. Spike has lots of allergies which were helped with piriton when they flared up but he went through an awful stage of biting at the front of his legs which was horrible as he had huge sores on them then but as soon as he was prescribed steroids and allergy tabs he was fine, although he wore a rubber ring round his neck for a while to break the habit. He was tested for allergies and showed up allergic to fleas, dust mites and grasses. This year for some reason he has been absolutely fine and hasn’t needed piriton at all.

Good luck and best wishes for Monday. Hope all goes well.

Fingers crossed! Best to get the full service while under. ;)Feet are the one thing our cocker is really difficult over!

Doing really well thanks although the scar looks a bit of a mess. Was a bit concerned as they could t apply a dressing given the location and he’s no fan of the cone of shame!

Fortunately he’s shown no signs of trying to scratch it so well he’s supervised we leave it off. Just walking on the leash for now as his tendency to run around like a loon would no doubt damage his wound.

They’ve put some long lasting anti-itching stuff done his ears which we need to get again a week after but along with APOQUEL seems to be working.
