What can be better than a walk by the lake on a warm Spring morning?
Maybe sleeping late :) ... But can't have everything!

What I love about spring and summer walks is that it's just so easy. Pop on a harness and lead, and you are off. In winter - people boots, scarf, jacket, gloves: dog jacket plus harness and lead.

It takes as long to get ready for a walk as it does to do it! Well, not really, but you know what I mean.

They're the best. Walking the dogs in the sun this morning was wonderful ☀️

Go out early, meet other dogs - a great start of the weekend!

Just lovely. Such beautiful dogs, and having a great time.

I went for a spring walk in the woods this morning as well. Lots of violets, celandines, wood anemones, bluebells just starting. Dog smelled lovely scents including roe doe (heavily pregnant) muntjac and a well-grown fox cub. I saw them and she smelt their scent. She had to be on-lead as we passed them, then free a hundred yards or so later. I couldn't have done that when she was young, but old dogs bring their own blessings.

We didn't meet anybody - a major plus with a frail elderly dog.

Great pics of dogs having fun

I am looking forward to taking Ash out for walks (only 12 weeks today, so walks are limited at the moment)

took Ash to the loch beach today, out for a walk for 15min and then back in car to the farm shop to pick up eggs now back home and a cuppa for me and a sleep for her - unfortunately we did this all in the rain (after yesterday’s glorious weather looks like we are back to a normal Scottish day )
