Speed Judging

Joe,

Just had a look at Prodogs.

Can't find details of open shows. Am I being thicker than usual?

Just been to North Devon show. Arrived as they were judging Open Dog.

Was entered in Junior! Idiot or what?

Still it was a lovely day at the show.

I can think of a few more all rounders that do the same thing, one in particular, who has had Whippet folk spitting feathers on the only two occasions that he has judged them!

I very rarely feel cheated by a result. ( Can think of only two occasions and not recently.) I respect that everybody has their own idea of what is the perfect dog and I myself hope that I can appreciate a good example of any type. My only gripe is that even at the smallest show we have all paid our money (all breeds), made the effort and sometimes traveled quite a distance only to be faced with a judge who cannot be bothered to even notice which sex the dogs are.

Is it me? :b

Yes I am a TOG

Silas - Follow the thread titled 'skinflint', Dawn has put a link to prodogs on there - I am incapable of such complicated technical things!! :D

Well done for North Devon :p Well I got the entry form for Dorset County so early and was all set up until a week before the show when I realised I forgot to ever send it off :( How stupid did I feel, and typically the show was only 20 mins from me - all shows are always at least an hour, oh well.

Completely agree regarding the judges that don't even appear in the remotest bit interested. Have to say I've been pretty lucky and only met one or two in my very short time showing. But when I do, it makes me bloody furious
