Hi all :flowers:
I'm really hoping someone will be able to help us.....
We have a 1 year old whippet (infact, it's his birthday tomorrow!) who has a v v sensitive digestive system. He's recently recovered from a reaction to a yellow pepper - stolen off the kitchen worktop when my back was turned  - and the vet had said to give it a couple of weeks after his tablets and bland diet (chicken and rice) before worming him, which I did. However, since worming him on Tues/Wed he's hardly eaten, appears to have lost weight, and is looking v sorry for himself (sleeping mostly). We took him to the vet this morning as he seemed so poorly but the vet was totally unconcerned, gave him a vitamin shot, and told us to come back on Wed if he's no better and they'll run some tests.
Thinking back, when I wormed him last (Oct last year) he was v v sick, threw up several times, and may have missed a meal.... But I assumed it was because it's given him the tablet in a piece of sausage.. But actually now I'm thinking maybe he's reacted to the worming tablet.. It was a flavoured Drontol.
Anyone else had this experience?... How long did it take your dog to get well again?... Is there anything else we can do?
I'm worried as he seems so weak and not like himself at all.. But the vet wasn't worried at all
Thanks in advance for your thoughts!!
