About a month ago Grace had a reaction to something in the great outdoors that gave her a nasty septic rash in one armpit and her groin. I took her to the vet and it was successfully treated with antibiotics and steroid gel - they thought it could be a grass or other pollen allergy. She has been OK since then, but I see today that she is very sore again behind the armpit - a wider area than before. Is this a common problem with whippets? This is her/our first summer so it is a new problem for us. Can anyone offer any advice on avoiding and treating the condition? I'd like to avoid having repeat prescriptions of antibiotics if possible because it won't do her insides any good. Thanks.

Neem oil or tee tree oil, both have loads of detox things in them, or honey, manuka honey, it may not be cheap but it is totally natural.

Good luck.

Neat lavender oil,it's soothing, anti bacterial & very healing

only the infected area, you will have to make sure you rub it in fairly well, coule (will) get very messy but could be fun at the same time (w00t)

Good luck :huggles:
