A massive well done to everyone involved in helping this little girl.

I still can't believe that the previous owner could be so ruthless as to advertise a dog for sale in her condition

Good luck with the whelping.

Im lost for words ,poor girl ,well done Trish & Jane xxxx

:( Dear God!! My faith in humanity has officially been destroyed by thinking that someone could advertise this poor girl for sale when she is obviously so close to whelping (or has some BIG/lots of pups in there!), and then, to restore my faith there are people like Jinnyfizz and the others who have helped this girl out of her dire situation, and that somehow starts to restore my faith.

She has such a kind, trusting face, sorry I'm a big softie and I am blubbing looking at the pictures!

Hi everyone, this is Lal's daughter Abigail.

I'm in the final of Miss Rutland and Miss Leicester 2010 - if I win either, I go direct into the Miss England 2010 grand final. As irrelevant as this may all sound, my mum had a brainwave and between the two of us, we've thought of a way to get Scruples some exposure - at no cost to the charity itself.

As part of our participation, we are required to find a company sponsor to have their name on our sash, in the programme etc. Obviously, due to the current economic climate, few companies are interested in paying for sponsorship of a contestant. Speaking to the organiser recently, she's said we can have a "friends and family sponsor" if we can't find companies.

My friends and family have come together with the money required to sponsor me, but instead of "Friends and Family" on my sash and in the programme, I would like to offer this to Scruples. As I said, it wouldn't cost anything because we've already got the money aside, but reading this thread has struck a chord with me and I would love to be able to help Scruples get some media coverage...leading to more donations to help a new and small charity make a difference.

Just been catching up on this poor little girlies story, how can anyone part with her at this stage in her condition :(
So glad she is in safe hands now, well done Trish and Jane for giving Molly a second chance of happiness :huggles: , hope all goes well with the whelping :luck: :luck: :luck:

i can pop over tomorrow afternoon/early saturday morning with a load of towels/feeding bottles etc if you like Trish?
If this guy thought this little girl was 22" i dread to think what he thought the dogs height was.... i wouldnt believe a word he said.

Just out of interest what was his reasons for abandoning her at this time?

:luck: :luck: :luck: :luck: :luck: :luck: :luck: :luck: :luck:

I too would be interested to know the reason why this bloke decided to put Molly up for sale on that website, while she is in pup   Because off the top of my head I can not think of 1 single reason why I would sell a bitch in that condition

Thank goodness someone on k9 spotted this

Glad she is where she is now and that she will be going to Jane's Well done again Trish and Jane :huggles: :huggles:

Abi, what can I say, thank you so very much, that would be amazing !! And huge congratulations to you for getting to the final of the competition. If it's ok with you I'll pm you/your Mum about this tomorrow ... I've been 'Scrupling' all day sorting out blogs, websites, banking arrangements etc. and my brain is turning to mush at the moment. Thank you again :) Annie xxx

Once again, I am completely overwhelmed by the kindness and generosity of folk :b

I can't thank everyone enough, and your offer of the publicity for Scruples at such a visible event is just wonderful, Abi :huggles:

I see from the above that Annie, Super Scrupler, has everything in hand and I shall leave the admin to her as she is so good at it

Thank you so much

good luck with everything - what wonderful souls you all are .....

if you need any help with the paper work of registering as a charity just shout - we are a registered charity for saving the native breeds of the Highlands of Scotland and are aware that the mass of forms to complete are a nightmare!

also if there is ever anything else we can do to help then we are more than willing x

Hi everyone, Abigail here again!

I'm happy to be able to give Scruples much more exposure, as an impoverished student (but whippet lover!) I can't afford to pledge anywhere near as much money as i'd like to be able to, but as Tesco say, every little helps!

Here's one of my pictures from Miss Loughborough (i've already got sponsorship for that lined up etc) Just thought you'd like to put a face to a name! I'll be able to get loads of pics in my Scruples sash from Miss Rutland as well, and i'm available to pose with whippets at any time! Just be warned, between my mum and I we'd probably want to take them all back as company for Rifle!

well done to everyone concerned.molly looks beautiful if a little nervous.(no surprising realy poor soul) I to cant think why he would sell her now. But if he can do this to a heavily pregnant dog that has been in his care im glad the pups wernt born there it dosnt sound like they would have had a very good start.probably best thing he has done for this poor dog in her life is sell her and lukily someone who cares about her welfare is going to get her

Thank you Tracy :) We can't actually register Scruples with the Charity Commission until the charity's income hits a specified amount*, then we have to register ... not sure if it is the same in Scotland? But you can be sure we'll ask for help if and when we need it

*We do of course nonetheless have to abide by all the pertinent laws and accounting procedures relating to charities.
