I wouldn't get out of bed either all snuggled up and tucked up :) He's lovely, I think he's just very laidback and reassured that you have know what your doing :)

i'd say that was a success! He could've done a whoopsie and got himself barred ;)

My dog also retreats to inside my coat in the pub, i think its a ploy to make strangers go aaaaw... :)

Very hard to imagine him chasing down a lion tho eh?!

Your dog is gorgeous!

We have the complete opposite with our puppy, she is hyper and manic and goes crazy if we leave her for more then 2 mins in a room with a closed door!

Do you fancy swapping puppies? :D

He is adorable - you've had hit vet checked and given the all clear?

Yeah he's been checked and all is well, I was off work last week so I think he was just bored of me lol...when I came in today he did greet me then we played football ...then sleep again! .....

Well hanneroon ....homer is definitely no lion hunter..... The piccie is how he has been since he got me up for his breakfast at 6... Been in bed ever since!

hahaha - ive never known of such a sleepy puppy!!

Have you spoken to the breeder? What do they say about it?

She did say they sleep a lot..certainly the adults do apparently they like the sofa and spend as much time on it as possible! There were 11 pups in the litter so although they slept a lot they played with each other a lot . Guess without them he likes to sleep. We go to a puppy socialisation class on a Saturday which he loves..then it's back to sleep! He's a funny little fella. Climbed on my knee this morn and dozed off.am getting used to his ways now...I think!

oh look at his wrinkly face! How did i miss that you'd called him Homer?! That s brilliant!

I think this is the proof that ridgebacks belong in the sighthound group. Sleepy sofa hogs! Its definitley a ruse, just you wait, they pretend they need to sleep, but they are actually just storing up huge energy reserves to expend later on. :)

Yeah...our surname is simpson...so it kinda made us chuckle..they can walk for miles but in the home are very lazy.... Best of both worlds I guess!

hahaha - great choice then for his name - love that!!!

Oh my word he is absolutely gorgeous!!!

He has found a wonderful home by the sounds of it :)

That photo made me want to leave work, drive to Durham and hug your puppy!! He is actually the cutest thing I've seen in a long time.
