Well done everyone!!! Especially.................................... WENDY & TEYA!!! as it was her first Champ show and it couldn't get much better than that, it was an absolutely HUGE class!!

Thanks BJ and Jo and everyone! I'm so proud of my little girl! I can't believe both of my girls are now qualified for next year!! It's been a wonderful start to the year! And as the last 2-3 months of last year were pretty rough (on a personal level) it's a well needed pick-me-up!

Congrats to everyone else - sounds like quite a few of us had a pretty good day! :D

Hi all, just back from Mancester.
My poor boy looked stressed in the ring today, panting and shivery - very nearly pulled him out - don't know what was up but he was not himself - cheered up when he met all the lovely girly whippets though!!! :*   :*   Seems happier now he is back home.

Just a quick thank you to everyone who was so kind when Zephyr looked so off colour at Manchester. We had a bad week - he has had a nasty bout of gastroenteritis and was obviously just starting to feel poorly that morning. :( That night my Dad told me he had to have major and very risky surgery within the next few weeks :( and then on the Friday, my lovely OH fell over iceskating :- " and broke his ankle in three places and has spent all week in hospital! Finally had his surgery on Thursday and got him home today. For a week I have been either at the hospital or at the vets, but Zephyr is absolutely back to normal and so it is just my Dad to worry about now.

But apart from that, everything is fine! ;) ;) Mind you, I wasn't too pleased when I found that the vet had shaved so much hair off his neck to take the blood test  I could have kicked myself for forgetting to ask them not to!! :(

Sorry to hear you've had such a rotten time :(

But pleased to hear its all improving

:huggles: Hugs to Zephyr and his wee bald neck

Glad Zephyr is on the mend.

What a week, poor you, as usual us ladies have to be the pit props :- "

Oh dear,Beth, you've certainly had a rotten time of it :( I hope your Dad is better soon & I'm so relieved to hear that Zephyr is o.k. now,& I'm sure his hair will grow back in time for Crufts

Why did your vet take a blood sample from the neck  , mine have always been done from the vein in their front leg!!

Sorry you've had such a worrying time - glad to hear Zephyr is on the mend.

Hope your Dad gets better soon. :luck: :luck: :luck:

Poor, poor Zephyr. He didn't seem himself. Glad to know that he is feeling much better now. Daisy sends him a hug and lick <G>.

Beth,

I knew about Zephyr and Arthur but I didn't know about your dad- hope everything goes well for him.

Give Zephie a hug and kiss from me  , oh ok then Arthur can have one too...

Liz x

Glad to hear Zephyr is feeling better Beth. Best wishes to your Dad and your OH for speedy recoveries.

As males are the weaker sex :- " its a good job you are fit and well , Glad Zephyr is ok now :))

Poor Zephyr :( Glad he's feeling better now, lots of 'mend quickly' wishes to the other men in your life :D

Thanks to everyone for their kind good wishes. :huggles: Yes, Debs, I thought they would take the blood sample from his leg too, but some prefer to use the jugular  unfortunately, and I was in the waiting room so didn't get a chance to stop them!

OH is still sleeping off the effects of the anaesthetic (and a huge welcome home roast dinner), and Zephyr is sitting on my lap with head on my shoulder as I sit here, which doesn't half make it difficult to type!!! :* :)

Glad to hear he's doing better. I bet you wouldn't have him anywhere else at the moment - difficult typing or no.
