Bad time for all concerned. Such a sad end. The thought of one of my dogs being run over is unimaginable really. Can't say much else. So sorry.

I am so sorry for you and Bella's owners.

I know just how they feel- my beloved Sidney Whippet was run over and killed nearly 6 years ago and I still miss and think about him every day. I am still paranoid about letting my dogs out of my sight.

Thankyou everyone for messages. Sorry you lost a Whippet in this way Liz. We also lost our Whippet Chips to a car many years ago, I was very young but I remember the driver bringing Chips home so clearly. She was so upset, she read the address on the tag & brought him to us on a blanket. Must have been so hard for her, to bring our elderly dog back to a family with 3 young kids. Chips was my dads dog from before we were born. He was old, such a shame he had to go like that.

Now Bella, Chips & Sidney are running free together at Rainbow bridge.
