Now how true is that ?? .........but you forgot to mention that once you've owned a "proper" coloured Whippet, that it's very hard to be without a "proper" coloured Whippetonly when you have lived with black and blue whippy's do you appreciate how special they are.
Join the club Lana. I've known her since she was a pup and have never understood the Blob name. She's a beauty not a blob.aslan said:Ditto!
But how that lovely girl of yours gets to be called "BLOB" I'll never understand. She doesn't look anything like a blob! :*

Hi Moriarte, yes, colour does affect temperment. It has also been proven scientifically. This came up recently, on a gerbil forum I belong to.The admin on that forum dug out some scientific papers for us to read (w00t) (how kind was that :- " hard going for lesser mortals  ) where in studies it was proven.moriarte said:Do people think that the various colours have distinct temperaments? The lady I know with the 2 Nimrodels says the fawn is a right little bully to the very sweet brindle one.

The colour is determined by handful of genes, which determin the distribution of pigment in the dog's hair. Are you suggesting that the same genes also affect the dog's temperament?Hi Moriarte, yes, colour does affect temperment. It has also been proven scientifically. This came up recently, on a gerbil forum I belong to.The admin on that forum dug out some scientific papers for us to read (w00t) (how kind was that :- " hard going for lesser mortals  ) where in studies it was proven.
As for 2 nimrodels picking on a brindle, erm, brindles are definitely in the regions of only being honorary whippets in the broadest sense of the word :- " (w00t):teehee: .

don't know if it is just the blue bitches i have come accross, but they all seem far more mischevous than any of the blacks or brindles i have.moriarte said:Do people think that the various colours have distinct temperaments?
