my friends got a deaf collie x and except for her getting a bit over excited somtimes, she came to her as a foster dog
at 2 years old, and was decribed as out of control, not child or cat friendly,
she lives with 3 kids and 4 cats, she now go's off lead on walks,
and loves runing round with the other dogs she will go out of sight but you
can garentee that she's waiting for you at the end of the path,
when she first came they couldent do much with her, as she would just bounce around, she was quite worryed if you touched her it,sometimes it was like she had ADD, but they tryed Ttouch which helped to carm her down, and used a body rap,
it seemed to work as you can now touch her all over with out her bouncing on you,
hope it all go's well with your little pup, deaf dogs can be quite rewarding.
