Hi All,

Should be working but thought I'd take 2 min to let you know of progress.

I work from home (main reason for getting the dog) and lunch is between 1 and 2pm.

Over the weekend the Midges have been mental and it's been wet, which Rax doesn't like too much so walks have been limited. Anyway it got to 1pm today and after the council Strimmer men had passed our house i decided to take pup out. It is dry at the moment and a slight breeze YAY. Anyway I though I'd get the tennis ball and a "Slinger that Gail found when we took him to the beach last Monday" and a stick. So off we plodded down to the disused footie field and i let him off lead. Airigh_A_Bhreide_info.JPG

Well i threw caution to the wind and needn't have worried. He went after the ball like a rocket and brought it back to within 10 feet of me each time. i know not a perfect fetch but I'll work on getting the ball right to my feet. (any suggestions please?) I could deal with a few paces to retrieve the ball from him and re throw. Must have done about 8 throws before he just came and lay down totally pooped.

By then the midges had taken hold and we went back home. within 10 min of being back he has now passed out on Gail's old sleeping bag (she's one of these cold people and uses it in the evening like a blanket). which he loves. Not a peep from him. Think he really enjoyed a good sprint and play and i know i did.

These wee things just give you a little more confidence each time. I was slightly worried he'd play up as before we were both there but you have to just let go sometimes and see. Wish i could have some pics. If i go down this evening I'll take the old camera and try and get some.

Back to work now

Hi

thought I'd post a different angle and a pic of the whole village for you all to see. Airigh_A_Bhreide_front_small.JPG

And one of the Whole village,
You can see the foot ball pitch in the middle of the shot and it's taken above the long beach, to give you a sense of direction !!! I plan on walking down to the cemetery which is by the beach in this shot. Should be a lot easier than going about 3 miles round the road to the far end of the beach.

It is a great place to be and good for dog's once sheep broken. Rax hasn't really come into contact with a white wooly thing yet. Lol

 I really envy you, thanks for the pictures, ;) i would love to live there with my dogs. Di

It was damp this lunch time and he didn't really want to play. Managed to get a few runs though before he got fed up.
