Raw feeding

Anyone raw feeding their sighthound puppy? How much do you feed.

I didn't raw feed when he was a pup, but checking online the usual advice is 5-8% of his body weight a day till he's 6 months old. Then reduce the percentage according to his weight/growth/condition.

I recently bought lots of raw food from dog butchers near my home. Its an entire shop dedicated to raw meat and fish. I got it home all excited thinking my dogs would love it, but they were sceptical and slow when eating it, with one of our chihuahuas refusing it completely. In the end, I cooked it and they ate it without hesitation. I have no idea why they are like this as im sure they would have it if they saw me eating it.

@Mitchell Perry, what you can do is cook the meat just a little bit less each time, and you might find they'll eventually eat it raw. If not, though, it'll be good for them cooked too.
