I have unexpectedly had major heart surgery. Am getting help with walking as even holding his lead is not allowed for 15 weeks. Am able to walk out with him for 20 mins a day (split) but I am afraid he is bored. He only gets to see his friends at weekends. What can I do to interest him. He is a little dog but was used to long walks two or three times a day. Will he forgive me?

Have you heard of the Cinnamon Trust? It's a charity that helps with dog care for owners are temporarily unwell and unable to walk etc. They may have volunteer walkers in your area.
Failing that, using their brains is very tiring for dogs. Try train ing some tricks, or for feeding hide his food and get him to find it to occupy him. And yes, I am sure he will forgive you!

Of course he will forgive you! Is he interested in food? There are lots of good toys out there to get his brain working! Check out @Mi_chelle who has simply2pets listed on our directory. They have some K9 connectable that look good brain teasers!

Hello @Nanny71 - I hope you are recovering well from your operation. Yes well sell the K9 Connectable range, if you haven't heard about them before they are an enrichment toy for dogs. The engage, stimulate and entertain dogs, they are a bit like duplo for dogs. They have different connection levels of difficulty, they can be put in the freezer and dishwasher, they also all float. if you would like some more information on them they are on our website www.simply2.co.uk
