what can i say Clair ,the last 12 months have been fantastic ,our friendship has gone from strength to strength ,i can always count on you and know you are always there for me ,we have fun when we have met up and there will be loads more fun ,i have loved spending time at yours ,living your life

k9 has brought me some very special friends and i have been fortunate enough this year to spend some good quality time with them ,getting to know them better ,this year has been one of the best years of my life and i look forward to next year spending more time with some of you, see you juney at madam cowtons

Recently I've found things a bit negative on k9, so I thought I would put on a positive thread

...I don't expect replies really...other than :x :lol:
A year ago yesterday was the first time I met Trac personally...face to face...I went up to Mancy-land and we wandered around for 8 hours chatting...chatting... and chatting...and quite a lot of laughing and a bit of demolition...shop displays had to be rebuilt in places after Trac had finished with them...

..anyhow, it was the first of several meetings throughout the year, including a couple of weekends together and a great time staying at Jinnyfizz-Jane in the summer...

I'd like to say a BIG thank you to k9 for being our platform on which we got to know each other, and an even BIGGER thank you to Trac for becoming a great friend, a true and reliable support in all I do and someone who allows me to insult you sooooo much but a friendship I know will be there forever.

ok...you can all go rush for the bucket now (w00t) :lol:

May I interrupt, just to add my comments :lol:

It's lovely to see friendships being forged as a result of being a member of K9. Long may it continue!!

I met up with Gillian (Gilliwigs) through K9, and I'm very glad I did. It has been great to meet up locally for walks with our dogs, and I even persuaded Gillian to become a member of our local camera club. We have a good old chin wag on a Weds evening and share camera/photo tips. It's so nice to have a local friend who loves whippets, holidays in Scotland and enjoys her photography! What a rare treat! All thanks to K9! :teehee:

Ignore the other competitive squabbling that goes on. It's inevitable when folk actively compete with their dogs I guess, and reputations are at stake, but it doesn't mean we have to let it spoil the pleasure we derive from exchanging photos and chatting about our dogs.

Jesting aside, I have to agree with Nicola :thumbsup: I have formed firm real world friendships with a number of K9 friends and my life is all the richer for that. Then there are those I have met once or twice and am looking forward to getting to know better. Others, though I may only 'know' them on line are also generous enough to laugh and cry with me as life demands (here and on facebook). We have created a wonderfully supportive network of kind hearted souls here (ok, kind hearted souls who love to insult each other ) and long may it continue
