I had a great day,and although Whippets were very few on the ground,really enjoyed it.My Best Puppy went on to Win the Puppy Hound Group :D

You ladies get worse :lol: :lol:

:cheers: It was me with Lol (Lokeren Chakole Inspired), we didn't do anything for BIS because the lady judging doesn't like Whippets, but it was nice to represent the breed in the big ring.

Russ also did us proud with BOB with BJ but we only managed group 4. It was quite funny because those of you who know Maurice Bellamy sat on the same table as the judge at lunch. :- " He asked (knowing full well who had won the hound group) who she had given the group too and he was astounded that she couldn't remember! Anyhow, when they eventually said the greyhound, he said that it was awful, down on its pasterns, out of balance and with no stifle at all! (w00t) The judge (obviously a bit miffed by this) said that all the rest were rubbish. :rant: By this time MB was getting himself all worked up but thought better of telling the judge that she couldn't judge his pit boots!

I'd love to have been a fly on the wall, it would have been very funny. Must admit I was disappointed as the greyhound did not move well at all and the PBGV's front was just like a life raft, can't remember who she gave third to. Never mind we had a great day and even won the adult handling so now I get to represent the society at the Adult Handling competition later in the year. With BJ of course.

Russ went over the dogs very sympathetically and I have no hesitation in recommending anyone to give him a try. Just a pity that it clashed with other shows on the day.

Well done Jan, sounds like you had a really good day. I was convinced Russ was running in the London Marathon yesterday, I really must read things more carefully.
