Not In My Living Room

U-boat, from the WWII era. Just think of finding that there, all stinking of seaweed and diesel. You'd also feel obliged to make tea for the crew too, and that's too big a task for me. I wouldn't mind so much if it was a U-boat from the WWI era, they were a bit smaller so not so many cups of tea to make. On balance, I don't think I'd like either in my living room really.

Right, back to work.... :D

this is brightening up my Tuesday!

really? I'm into 'that' stuff.

Yes really! The cottage I live in is over 200 years old and some very strange things happen here at times. I sometimes think Harri senses something as he'll suddenly run into a corner of the sitting room where there used to be a doorway (it's now an alcove full of bookshelves) and stare intently at it. The cat also shows a lot of interest in that corner.

It has plenty of downsides! We'd only moved in a couple of days and the draught from the back door was so bad that I thought I'd make an old fashioned sausage excluder. I cut a piece of heavy fabric, left it on the dining room table and went to find my sewing machine. When I came back with the machine, the fabric had gone. I was alone in the house so at first I thought must have taken it with me to get the machine but no. I searched high and low but it never did turn up!
