Non regenerative anemia. Info please!!

My beautiful Jack Russell Terrier Jill has just been diagnosed with this awful condition and I am totally gutted. I have done as much reading as I can but there seems to be a lack of studies completed. Has anyone else unfortunately come across this in their dogs? I know there are loads of different things to consider but how have your dogs got on? She has had a blood transfusion and currently on IV line and steroids. She is hopefully getting home tomorrow but I just don't fully understand the condition or more what to expect.

I will be speaking more to my vet tomorrow but any info would be good. Me and Jack (other jack russel terrier) are besides ourselves.

Hi. Welcome to the forum, I am sorry it is under such difficult circumstances you join us. I have nothing practical to offer, no doubt you will have searched online and have found some information; but sometimes that is just more worrying - your vet will be able to tell you more tomorrow and she really is in the best place for now. She will feel a lot better after the transfusion, please let us know how she gets on.
