New addition

What is a pulmmer terrier ? That's a new one to me! Very exciting though.

That'll be - erm - interesting! I believe Plummers are pretty intense, but it sounds like a fun mix. I can't wait to hear more :)

We have found with all of our terriers and lurchers we have had from pups it's more how they are bought up than anything
Now we have to decide whether to have a dog or bitch ....
Plummers are not seen very often around here :p

Oh Judy, thank you.
A real working terrier. It looks like a nice strong JRT.
Well, that's a new one for me.
Maybe I should do more reading!

Well things happen for a reason....the lady we bought the boys from was looking after a friend's plummer terrier and she gave birth to 3 pups ...her owner hadnt realised she had mated with his whippet ...
So we can have a pup ...they just want good homes ....a mini lurcher ;)
Wow! I’d love to see a photo.

The pups were only born on friday so 3 days old....2 females and a male the male is the pup in middle on first pic

What are your thoughts on gender, Tinytom? I assume managing two entire lads and a bitch wouldn't be without its challenges, but would a bitch make for a more cohesive 'pack'?

Either way, my money is on the terrier ruling the roost ;-)

I think it will be a male as we have no plans to neuter either of our boys before they are 5 and then if no medical issues they will remain entire ...
A friend has been doing research on a vets finding that links alot of large breed males especially sighthounds to.bone cancer when neutered before full maturity

Excellent good choice, have you thought of a name for him yet !o_O

.

Maybe I best slow down a little and not get too over excited!

After losing several pups last year from Sykes litter (-although it was a large litter ) I dont want to get excited before they are 2 weeks old ....xx

Well after much discussion last night we had actually decided not to add anymore dogs at the moment...we have been used to having 5/6 dogs in the house and wanted to add more again... But we have 2 nearly Perfect hounds ...they love all other dogs and their recall is amazing...we can walk within 6 feet of deer and they recall without chase ...I am so proud of these two and worry that another dog may have a prey drive and the boys will then follow that dog ....we had Murphy a bull lurcher from 14 weeks but his prey drive was so ingrained we never got him out of chasing deer;)
We could be overthinking but it's a big risk to take :p

I’m confused, Tinytom (it comes with age - just you wait). Are you still going for a pup?
