Hi,

I’m new to this forum, and I joined as I wanted to find out if anyone had any advice for me before I started to worry.

I have a 1 year and 4 month old female Border Collie. She’s hypoallergenic, not sure if this applies but figured it couldn’t hurt to include.

Earlier I noticed this lump on the top of her snout. (Photo below) It’s hard, almost like bone, but she doesn’t seem to be in any pain when I touch it.

She does love to play rough with my mum’s bigger dog, but she hasn’t seen him for a few days and me or my partner haven’t noticed this until now.

I’m just wondering if anyone has any ideas on what this could be?

Thank you.

It could be something like a cyst - but lumps really can't be diagnosed online, so I'd speak to your vet. If they're not keen on non-urgent consultations right now you could send them photos and speak on the phone.

She's very beautiful, by the way :)

Thank you, I’ll have to see if we can do that with our vets :)

That’s a cracker of a collie, any decent vet will see you when you say there’s a lump,

I'm so sorry for your dog. My dachshund had similar problems. They said the tumor and it was removed.

I'm in agreement here- I think it needs an answer as to what it is so a vet is where you need to be.
